Kendra Petrone is a Greenwich-based portrait photographer who specializes in capturing life’s biggest milestones with warmth, authenticity, and heart. A proud sorority alum and mom of college- and high-school aged kids, she knows firsthand how exciting—and overwhelming—this season can be.

After helping her own daughter navigate the highs and lows of Rush, Kendra was inspired to create the resources she wished she had— starting with her popular Sorority Rush Guide, and now this one-of-a-kind event. Ready. Set Rush! is her way of combining her passion for celebrating milestones with her commitment to empowering young women and supporting their moms during this big life transition.

Nope. This event is perfect for girls who are still deciding. You’ll hear from current sorority members and recent grads about what Greek life is really like—so you can decide if it’s something you want to pursue. There’s no pressure—just honest insights to help you make the right decision for you.

Do I have to be 100% sure I want to go through Rush to attend?

Definitely. Whether your campus has a large Greek scene or just a few sororities, the basics of recruitment still apply. This event will give you tools to navigate the process with clarity and confidence—no matter the size of your school or its Greek system.

Greek life is small at my school — will this still be helpful?

You’re welcome either way! We designed this to be a shared experience for moms and daughters, but students are more than welcome to come solo—or bring a friend instead. We want you to feel comfortable and supported no matter what.

Can I come on my own, or do I need to bring my mom?

The evening kicks off with light bites; one-on-one time with current sorority girls, recent grads and our Rush expert; and a chance to check out some fun brand activations (think: freebies and surprises from names you’ll recognize!). Then we’ll roll into the main program—featuring lots of real talk, expert advice, honest insights, and of course, giveaways!

What can I expect at the event?

We’ll be at the Greenwich Arts Center, right in the heart of Greenwich Avenue—super easy to find and surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s just a short walk from the Metro-North station, and street parking is free on Greenwich Avenue after 5:00 p.m. Once you're inside the Greenwich Arts Center building, you can find us on the 2nd floor.
